Come with your dogs! Potluck luncheon, General Meeting and Nosework clinic. Bring potluck item, comfortable chair, and perhaps x-pen or crate. If you'd like to participate, bring new or gently used dog-themed clothing and/or books to exchange.
Nosework class to follow the Feb Meeting.
In this class the focus will be on teaching you how to encourage and develop your dog’s natural scenting abilities by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. This is a great class for ANY dog for fun, confidence building, and mental and physical stimulation. . Please bring your dog on a flat collar, 6 foot leash, and lots of soft, tiny, yummy treats. Each dog will work on its own, so it is a good outlet for reactive dogs. Nose Work is appropriate to all dogs, even dogs with disabilities or behavioral issues.
This class will be presented by Margie Geiger from Kalama. By profession she is a teacher and trainer. For the AKC she is a CGC and Farm Dog, and ATT evaluator. In addition she writes the BMD article for the AKC Gazette. Recently she was elected to the BMDCA Board of Directors. She also is very active in freestyle competitions and is a World Canine Freestyle Organization Judge, and was the WCFO 2017 Trainer of the Year.
